Diocesan Sunday / Heritage Fund Collection
The Diocesan Sunday will be observed on 9th August 2009. Deputation / Pulpit Change will be arranged on that day. This year’s deputation programme will be concentrated in collecting the Heritage Fund as per Thirumeni’s Kalpana. All the members of the parishes/congregations are requested to participate wholeheartedly.
Diocesan Assembly Meeting: Delhi Diocese
The next Diocesan Assembly meeting will be held on Saturday, 27 June 2009 at 10.00 a.m. at the Mar Thoma Centre, 26, Bhai Vir Singh Marg, Gole Market, New Delhi – 110 001. Diocesan Episcopa His Lordship Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Mar Paulos will preside over the meeting. Rt. Rev. Dr. Jacob Mar Barnabas (Malankara Catholic Church) will lead the devotion. Annual Report & Annual Accounts for 2008-09 and Budget for 2009-10 of the Diocese will be presented in the meeting.

Dedication of Churches: Delhi Diocese

The dedication of the Khariar Road MTC (Orissa) was done by Diocesan Episcopa, Rt. Rev. Joseph Mar Barnabas Episcopa on 11th October 2008. His Lordship also dedicated the Kesara Chapel and Sapraiguda Chapel in Sreekakula Mission in Andhra Pradesh on October 19th and 20th, 2008 respectively.
New School plot for the Diocese

We have been allotted a plot for setting up a School at Karpooripuram, Ghaziabad, U.P. by the Ghaziabad Development Authority. The Diocese is planning to start a Higher Secondary School there which is part of the National Capital Region of Delhi.

The Election of the Sabha Council members from Delhi Diocese was held on August 30th 2008. Rev. Alexander Thomas (Ranchi), Mr. P. T. Mathai (Ebenezer MTC, New Delhi) and Mrs. Ruby John (Chandigarh MTC) were elected.

As per the direction of the Diocesan Bishop the first meeting of the Delhi Diocesan Sunday School will be held at 11 am on Monday the 3rd November 2008 at Mar Thoma Centre, 26 Bhai Vir Singh Marg, Gole Market, New Delhi - 110 001.
My Lord and My God’
My Lord and My God’ , a two hours and forty minutes length documentary is first of its kind about St. Thomas Christians, with special focus on the faith and practices of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church.
Delhi Diocesan Annual Assembly Meeting
The annual Meeting of the Delhi Diocesan Assembly was held on 26th July 2008. Diocesan Episcopa, Rt. Rev. Joseph Mar Barnabas presided over the meeting. Most Rev. Pathros Mar Osthatheos of Jacobite Syrian Church delivered the Devotional Talk. 107 members of the Assembly attended the meeting.
Mar Thoma Centre, Agra
Delhi Diocese is setting up a Mar Thoma Centre on the piece of land, admeasuring 434.94 Sq. Meter, which was handed over by Agra Mar Thoma Parish to the Diocese, with a view to provide quality accommodation and excellent service to those who visit Agra City. The proposed Centre is a five-storied building including basement, ground floor and another three floors, with a total plinth area of 1334 Sq.Meter. On the ground floor there will be a Church hall to conduct the worship services of Agra Parish. First and second floors will be with guest rooms and the top floor with Dormitories. The foundation stone was laid on 29th January 2008 by the Diocesan Episcopa. The construction is progressing.
Dedication of Church Buildings

Our Diocesan Episcopa consecrated a new Church building for St. Thomas Syrian Church, Bacheli, Chhattisgarh, India for the worship of Mar Thoma and Orthodox Congregations and also the Church, “Divya Nikethan” in the Chhattisgarh Mission at Borsi, Pamgarh on 13th and14th March, 2008, respectively.
